One Dad

  At first each was one,
Or so they thought.
But each one had none.
Is life for naught?

Ones lived for a day,
Life would bring a change.
Ones knew the way,
To live life so strange.

Ones then met.
There was a new feel.
What did ones get?
Are the feelings real?

Ones give a try,
Being together a while.
Did ones know why,
They have a smile?

Ones were now sure.
There was a big change.
It was love so pure.
Does God arrange?

Both ones now knew,
Each was really not one.
Halves are not two.
What have ones done?

Ones really just half,
Joining now done.
Oh what simple math,
One plus one is still one.

Halves still one,
Decide to add.
With that now done,
A one is a dad.
