Things you don’t mean

Don't play with my heart,
Then go, leaving me blue.
Don't say I mean the world to you,
Unless I really do.
Don't tell me you are my hero...
Then leave my heart to break.
I have had so much pain already....
Don't know how much more I can take.
Don't offer me the world
Upon a silver tray.
Don't give me your heart,
Then snatch it away.
Don't tell me all you want
Or want nothing at all...
Then sit back and laugh
As you watch me fall.
We have loved and laughed
In my nightly dreams.
But unless you really love me,
Don't say things you don't mean.
And what you’ve already said,
Do you take it back?
In your heart was out love,
Now only evil black.
You have changed you know,
With the passing years.
Once we laughed out loud,
Now it rains my tears.
Has your love for me faded,
Into a curtain of hate?
It’s too late even now,
To revive our first date.
The children also know,
It’s written on your face.
You want to leave us all,
Disappear without a trace.
So now it is up to you,
Nothing for me it seems.
But unless you really love me,
Don’t say things you don’t mean.
