With You

I woke this morning as dawn arrived,
To see your face one more time.
I take a plane today once more.
I missed you before I slept.
Tho I leave you home; not take you there,
While I am gone your heart I share.
I close my eyes and see your smile.
Inhale a whiff of your perfume.
I call your name to see your face,
Feel you lay next to me.
I sleep tonight in a bed alone.
In my dreams I come home.
Far away wishing to be there,
I reach across to touch your hair.
When you wake in our bed of one,
We shared our sleep in a lover’s embrace.
As you slowly shower away the night,
You know we made love till morning light.
So kiss my face and hold me tight.
Smile for me; soon I’ll be home.
When we go to bed again as two,
There is no sleep for me and you.
Making love till dawn’s first golden ray,
We live our dreams of yesterday.
