Winter Night

Moonlight sparkles on new fallen snow
Cold wind whistles through the trees
Inside a fireplace glows tonight
The only light in the room
A blanket rests before the hearth
Warmed and waiting for you
I prepare you drink
Then food for thought
Then kiss you for dessert
My fingers softly caress your neck
My eyes search deeply in yours
Lips meet in a passionate embrace
Loins heat warms longing bodies
Two of us wrapped in a blanket
And within the other’s arms
Slow music softly surrounds the room
We keep time in our lovers’ dance
Moonbeams shine through a frosty pane
Spotlights two people in love
Too soon I hear you call my name
The same time I call yours
While darkness grips the frozen earth
I hold you till the dawn
Then let you sleep warmed by the fire
To bring breakfast to my precious one.
