To my Mother, for all she did and still does.
Mother's Day
I
can't recall
When
we first met
You
were always there.
I
was fed
By
only your hand
You
watched my body grow.
I
heard your voice
As
you talked to me
You
brought comfort at night.
I
heard your songs
Of
love sincere
You
gave to me safe sleep.
I
knew somehow
Part
of me was you
You
were my friend and more.
I
was thrown
From
my perfect world
You
were there with me.
I
saw bright lights
Felt
cold hands
You
soothed my terrified soul.
I
was then placed
Safely
upon your breast
You
I love, my only Mother.
