Sit
back; think what’s important to you,
A house, a car, or a boat.
Often we think of only the big,
Not the small things we need the most.
A smile to a friend each time you meet,
Will get one returned to you.
Wave hello to someone you know,
Makes your heart feel light and free.
Walk up; touch that person who’s there,
Shows them how much you care.
Pick up the phone; call mom and dad,
See how saying “I love you” feels.
Drop a note in the lunchbox of your love,
See what happens at days end.
When a guest drops in just to chat,
Serve coffee with love and care.
Then sit back; rethink what’s important,
It won’t be a house, a car, or a boat.
