Hello! Who walks in my
dream?
My eyes are too weary to see.
Is the you, Angel of Death,
At long last come for me?
With broken body and tired heart,
I have waited for you to come.
Is not my journey at long last done?
Can I not now rest my tired soul?
How much longer must I suffer,
Before I return home?
I beseech you, oh Angel,
Answer my anguished plea.
Say again oh holy one,
My ears often do trick my brain.
Angel of Death be there not,
But then who has come?
Angel of Hope sent to me,
To cradle my sinful heart?
I thought hope was lost,
Residing in my heart nevermore.
But you return it with love,
Unconditionally shared.
Why so, dear Angel?
Why me?
Why yes, I am God’s
child,
He takes care of each one.
Forgive me, I forgot.
